Venu Gupta (Illinois 1994)

Venu Gupta is Chief of Staff at She the People, an organization that elevates the political voice and leadership of women of color as part of a new progressive political and cultural era. Venu has 15 years’ experience in the legal and nonprofit arenas, including seven years as executive director of the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms, where she expanded funding, programming, and outreach to the legal community. She is also an active volunteer for social justice causes; she co-founded the South Asian Philanthropy Project and is a board member of Business and Professional People for the Public Interest. Venu is a graduate of both Harvard Law School and Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
